Jim Sims
President/CEO/CEO

Policy Communications is led by Jim Sims, who has experience in senior government positions ranging from the state legislature level to the White House.

Jim served for 12 years in the U.S. Senate, finishing his work there as Chief of Staff to former U.S. Senator Bob Kasten (WI).

He also served as White House Director of Communications for President George W. Bush's National Energy Policy Task Force.

A renewable energy advocate in Washington, D.C. for most of the 90s, Jim helped to launch the first national geothermal energy trade association. He has represented a wide range of clients, including Fortune 500 companies and other organizations at the state and federal level.

Jim is President and CEO of the Western Business Roundtable.

His innovations in coalition development have been recognized in the New York Times, Washington Post, Associated Press, United Press International, PoliticsOnline and many others.

He is an honors graduate of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. After spending 18 years in Washington, D.C. he now lives in Golden, Colorado with his wife, Holly Propst, and their three elementary aged kids.
